Educational Classes

Education is very important to a community. We believe that having an educated Board of Directors will make an association more successful; which is why we’ve included education in our mission statement. Association Services provides classes specifically designed for our Boards. Being on the Board is voluntary and most people don’t know what they don’t know. And that is where we, the management company, can help.

We offer 3 different types of classes throughout the year: Board Member Basics, Budget Seminar and Evening with the Board.

Board Member Basics Classes

April 24th, 2012 at 6:30pm

Secretary Class
May 1st, 2012 at 6:30pm

Treasurer Class
May 8th, 2012 at 6:30

These classes are held twice a year.  Each Board position is taught on a separate evening. Board members will be given information geared toward their specific role. They will also receive a Tool Kit for their community to reference in the future.  These classes are for members who are new to the Board or members who would just like a refresher class.

Budget Seminar

The Budget Seminar is offered once a year and taught by Evelyn Dufford CPA, CMCA, AMS, PCAM (Co-Owner). Come learn about  creating a budget and how to ratify the budget for your association. Budgets are a very important piece of a community and gathering as much information as you can will benefit you and your community a great deal. Attendees will leave this class with a customized packet of information to help with the current year’s budgeting process.

Evening With The Board

Ray Meyer with Cedcore, a provider of Reserve Studies will be present a look at the implications of the new Reserve Study requirements for Homeowners Associations and Condominiums.  Be sure to have your questions ready for Ray.

Board of Directors Fast Track

Join us on Saturday March 3rd, 2012 for a 3 hour class that will focus on the duties and responsibilities for each Board of Director position. All the information covered during our weekly Board Orientations will be covered in this intensive training.  There will be plenty of coffee and lively discussions.
